Meet the Ortons
Hey! It’s so nice to meet you.
I’m Justine. Together with my husband Luke and my two tiny people Edison (2) and Mabel (1) we are building our dream home in Merewether. Truth be told, I’m not so sure how much Edison and Mabel will be contributing, but it’s ok.
So who am I and why are we doing this?
Mum of two and “work mum” to a whole bunch of tradies, I’ve learned a lot by being in the building industry with my husband, builder extraordinaire, Luke and I'm so excited to share it with you.
Luke has been in the building industry for over 16 years, 8 of those years as Orton Building, with a primary focus on building high-end custom residential homes. I have a background in Public Relations and event management and I look after the OB office (usually with kids in tow). Side note: how good are iPads? 😉
We’ve seen countless people do this journey and know how exciting it is. There are so many ideas, questions and creative expressions. It really is such an amazing time! We also know how confusing, stressful and overwhelming it can be, so we are hoping to share some of our knowledge with you. From tradie terminology to “how the heck do we get this passed through council?”, we are giving you a front row seat to all the action. You’ll see our mood boards, progress shots and any tricks we learn along the way.
